About Us "Damn the torpedoes, warp speed ahead!"Starship Farragut is an independent film series based on the original series of Star Trek. Starship Farragut focusses on the crew of the U.S.S. Farragut, a Constitution Class Starship (NCC-1647) commanded by Captain John T. Carter, and takes place during the time of legendary Captain James T. FAQ's How can I help out with Starship Farragut? The project headquarters is located in the Greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, with standing sets located in St. Marys, Georgia. Casting is done in connection with specific productions prior to setting up rehearsal dates. We have behind the scenes positions available on an ongoing basis. People with skills in various aspects of video (i.e., digital editing, post production, CGI), film or theater production can volunteer to help out. We are especially seeking individuals with experience in stage lighting, sound and camera work, and costuming. If you would like to volunteer, please include your name and contact information in an email describing your area of expertise and/or interest to Holly Bednar in our Casting and Human Resources department. She may be reached through our "Contact Us" page. You may be asked to send and resume and head shot for on- camera positions and you will be contacted if we would like to pursue your involvement or invite you to audition. Can I donate to Starship Farragut?Yes! Starship Farragut is accepting financial donations. Donations of gift cards from Home Depot or Lowe's are also welcome and will be used for materials used in set construction, props and costumes. Donors who contribute will receive a complimentary DVD of the latest film release as a gift of appreciation. Those wishing to donate should see our "Donations" page for more information. All donations will be used by Starship Farragut for the sole purposes of production costs, set construction and repair, prop construction and repair, and costuming. Farragut Films, Inc. is a NON-PROFIT entity (501C3), and your donation can be claimed as a charitable contribution on your tax return. Is Starship Farragut violating any Copyright Laws?
